If it moves, we plan for it.
Our work is to study and make recommendations to make it easier for people and businesses to get where they need to go—whether by car, bike, bus, or on foot;
by air, rail, truck or on water.
The recommendations, data and public input from short range projects advance us toward meeting the goals outlined in our 25-year Long Range Transportation Plan.
The MIC’s planning projects are conducted over the course of six to 18 months and focus on specific locations, modes of travel, or both. Usually they are produced by MIC staff, but some are consultant-led and others are conducted in partnership with local jurisdictions.
