Following guidance from Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota Department of Health\, we are taking aggressive steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19\, including the use of social distancing strategies. \nARDC is still working for northeast Minnesota. The staff of our three Divisions – ARDC Planning\, the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging\, and the Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council – are working remotely\, and all agency services are still available. Some of our operations staff remain in our offices\, but the public is not allowed access at this time. \nOf particular importance is that the Senior LinkAge Line® is operating\, addressing questions from our at-risk population and caregivers. Additionally\, we are looking at ways to make our Revolving Loan Fund more focused on short term needs of businesses. \nFor now\, we are offering meetings by phone\, email\, and video conference. DESCRIPTION:The Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council (MIC)\, located at the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission in Duluth\, has prepared a Draft Fiscal Year 2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Duluth Metropolitan Area. The Draft TIP lists all transportation projects in the greater metropolitan area that are recommended by the MIC Board to receive federal transportation funds for FY 2021-2024. \nClick to view the Draft TIP page and document. \nPublic comments are being taken by James Gittemeier until June 19\, 2020 on the Draft TIP and the proposed projects. To request a hard copy of the document\, contact James Gittemeier (contact info below). \nProjects will be reviewed and comments will also be taken at the three virtual TIP Open House sessions scheduled for Thursday\, June 11 at 9-10:00 am\, 12 noon-1:00 pm\, and 4-5:00 pm. \nThe Draft TIP\, along with all comments received\, will be considered for final approval at the MIC Board meeting on June 24\, 2020.  This meeting is open to the public and will be the final opportunity for public comments to be given on the proposed projects.
